Saturday night and Dans, Rose Abu & I are suppose to yam char. Abu said he'll be a bit late, so Dans, Rose and I meet at Lotus at PJ State first. At 10 ish, we decide to watch Public Enemies. Since 1U is always full, Danny proposes that we drive to Tropicana Mall to watch the show, since there are less people there and the chances of getting tickets are higher. The wierd things was, when we got there, the lady at the counter said that they are not showing Public Enemies. Tropicana Mall only shows selected shows. Darn it... We then decide to drive to 1U and try our luck. There might me a small chance that they are releasing tickets which people have booked and didn't pick up. On my way out, my parking ticket was rejected by the machine. I think I was stuck for 20 mins at least. Luckily I was in a good mood and did not take it out on the parking dude. Danny and Mawar get to 1U first. The tickets for Public Enemies are all sold out. Mawar tells me that the only movie available is Departures. We have no idea what the show is about. We just know it's foreign. We don't even have any idea what language it is in. But since we have been running around trying to catch a show, we bought the tickets for Departures.
I get there on time. We proceed to the cinema. Well... as we're walking in, we see the poster. It's a Japanese show. Hmmm.... I have no high hopes. Well.... it's not great. It's kinda slow moving. But I wasn't shit bored lar. After I get home, I book the tickets for Public Enemies for the next day.
So, after the movie, I grab some dinner with Jules. He proposes that we makan "Har Meen". The last time we had that, I was fucking drunk. I don't even remember how to drive to the restaurant. It's actually located somewhere in Kepong. The prawn noodles are pretty good. They have a lot of side dishes as well. Here are some pics of what we makan-ed.
My 1st bowl of noodles which I whacked in record time.
I obviously ate a lot. I finished my 1st bowl, felt hungry, ordered another bowl, and polished that off as well.
Chicken feet aka Eagle Claw. I like it. Jules doesn't. Ordered a pair and had it all for myself.
As you can see, today's posting has no drinking stories. Today is Healthy Monday and I just got back from Badminton. I met up with Ramesh & Michael for yam char in the evening. Michael tells me that Aloha,KL has an awesome Happy Hour promotion. He told me that the 1st bottle of beer is RM20 bucks. Once you are done with it, walk to the bar, pass it to the guy, and get the next bottle for 1 buck. So everytime you finish your beer, just go to the bar and pay RM1 and get another one. If this is true, I'm gonna be fucking drunk tomorrow. I've sms'ed the drinking regulars. The only person who is coming for sure is Vincent. The rest have yet to confirm. Vince gets off work at around 6. Since I don't work, I can go anytime I want. I think I'll drive there at 5, arrive at 5.30, make sure the beer is cheap, and sms the gang and either ask them to come or not to. Either way, I'll drink for sure. Lets hope it's cheap and we party crazy tomorrow. Fingers crossed...
