Hi guys. It's Sunday and I have had a good rest. Travelling is actually pretty tiring. People actually say they wanna go for a holiday to relax. But I think it's more tiring to travel than to stay at home and watch tv. 4 days 3 nights in Club Med, Bali. Phew... am I glad to be home.

Okays... Flew to Bali last Wednesday. I told myself, I'm gonna drink, drink and drink. Boarded the plane at 10am. First thing I noticed, most of the stewardess are kinda... er, old. I think MAS really has no more quality control. Anyways, before they serve lunch, they bring juice and offers it to the passangers. "Kia Su" me ask for a beer. Hehe. I actually have 5 cans of beer for the 2 hour plus trip. I'm feeling pretty good.

Start with a Tiger...

She only had Carlsberg in her cart. So I sapu also. Don't wanna wait. Hehehe...

Dunno what island is that. It's about 30 mins into the journey.

We arrive at Bali and the guide takes us to a restaurant for lunch. The lunch sucked. But as we have already paid USD150 bucks for the tour and food, we just makan lar. After lunch, the guide drives us to Club Med. As usual, the 1st thing I do when I get to a resort is go to the pool. The main pool is located beside the main bar. Sweet... But only 1 problem. The bloody pool is 3 feet deep. WTF. I can't swim at all. So I get up and walk to the bar. Down a few more beers by myself beside the beach. Dinner time, the spread is pretty good. I makan like there is no tomorrow. And I drink more beers. I was very tired and by 9 ish, I went to bed.

Circle K is the local 7-11.

Some statue at the roundabout.

The main bar... Pretty impressive looking.

Thursday... after a nice mabuk lunch, I swim in the other pool. It's 5 feet deep. Much better. But I would prefer one where I can't stand. The only problem with this pool is that they do not serve alcohol. Guess you can't have it all. At 3pm, the guide comes to the hotel to pick us up. He takes us to 2 places. My sister is in the Travelling Agency business. So she ask the tour guide to take us to a BVLGARI Resort. She wants to see if her agency can tie-up with the resort. My my... it was really nice. Bloody glamorous. Bloody exclusive. And bloody expensive. The cheapest room goes for USD850 per night and moves all the way up to USD2000 (meals excluded). But every hut is very private. they all have a small infinity pool as well. And the view was breathtaking.

Lunch time. I start with 2 beers...

And then I grab another one...

I end up drinking 6 beers for lunch. Nice...

Nice sunset view.
Anyways... moving one. We went to a place where they have a local performance... a local Bali performance. It was okay lar. But as usual, these performances only amuse "gwai lous". The most amazing thing about this hill where the performance was is the "barter trading monkeys'. Let me explain... There are loads of monkeys there. As you go up the hill, there are numerous signs asking you to take care of your belongings. Bags, cameras and sunglasses. The monkeys are blardy smart. They grab your belongings, then they hang around. You need to get some fruits and barter trade with the fella. Give him food, and he gives you back your stuff. Simply amazing. It's some thing you need to see and believe. And I did. It's kinda funny and you must admit they are really really smart.

Sunset view from the stage where the performance is held.

I was kinda bored during the performance. I calculated and estimate that there are around 1000 audience seated.

This is the most interesting part of the performance.

Friday liau. I'm not feeling too good. As I have been drinking loads of beer from morning to night, I'm having a cough. Shite... can't drink ice any more. No more cold beer for me. Me parents and sister go out early in the morning. The guide picks them up at 8.30am. I get up at 9 as I didn't want to follow them. I grab my own breakfast and have some juice. I wander around the beach and then I decide to go for a foot massage. 2 women massage my feet simultaneously. What I don't like about that is that they have different styles. So after the massage, there is no balanced feel at all. Well... the massage cost me 50,000 Rupiah. Pretty cheap actually. RM1 equals to 2800 Rupiah. So the 1/2 hour massage cost less than 20 Ringgit. After the massage, I go back to my room to mandi and wash off the oil. After my bath, I lie on the bed and fall asleep. My family get back to the hotel at 2 ish in the afternoon. My dad brings me the Babi Guling. I asked them to tah pau some for me as everyone says it's a must try when you go to Bali. It's... so so. Basically, it's the same as "Yue Chue" aka roasted piglet. Only difference is they use full grown pigs. But as usual, I never think pork is not nice. I whack the whole packet.

After lunch lepak at one of the huts.
Clear blue sky. But it was actually raining in the morning.

Dinner time, damn... can't drink. Still have a slight cough. Walk around the buffet area and wadda ya know... Babi Guling. Har har. My dad wasted RM8 to buy me some for lunch. Anyways, I still manage to stuff myself with more Babi Guling. The food there is really pretty good. A very wide spread and all nice summore. At 8pm, me and my dad rushed back to our rooms to watch Wimbledon. Wah.. best case scenario. Federer wins by straight sets, and Roddick beats Murray. I hope Fed Ex wins Wimbledon.

Saturday morning, I have breakfast with me family at the restaurant. After breakfast, we just chill in our rooms as we have to leave for the airport at 11am. Get to the airport and tip our guide. The flight is at 1.50pm so I play with my PSP to kill time. We board the plane and get back to Malaysia by 4.30pm.

Anissa has a BBQ party going on. But as I have a cough, I think I better not join the party. Although I doubt I have H1N1 as I do not have a fever at all, it would be irresponsible to go just because I want to party. Anyways, I skip the party. Saturday night and I'm chilling at home. Feels good to be back at home though. Sitting on my bed with my TV and Astro. This is where I wanna be...
