Chiak Here... Chiak There...

After a wild Friday night, we were not in the mood for drinking on Saturday. Jules & I met up with Hann & Caroline for dinner. Hann wanted to take us to a place in KL. If I remember correctly, the name of the restaurant is Fock Kee... which sounds like Fuck It. The name might be dodgy but the food wasn't. Han already knew what to order. The asam fish and the sizzling seafood plate. We asked the lady what else should we order. She suggested salted egg mantis prawn and 'Yat Chi Kwat' which in direct transalation means one bone. I tell her... whatever lar... okay lar. So she takes the order and walks in.

The food came out in record time. I think they must have a lot of chefs at the back. The restaurant was quite packed but the cooking was fast. The fish was nice and the seafood plate of sotong & prawns were excellent. The mantis prawn in salted egg was out of this world. I fucking enjoyed that. The 'Yat Chi Kwat' is exactly what it sounds like... one bone. It's a pork dish, one bone, with sweet sauce and steamed 'mann tau'. Good stuff... good stuff. The dinner wasn't too expensive. RM106 for so much seafood. It isn't as cheap as the Sri Kembangan dinner. But at least we didn't get lost this time around (What's that highway again Hann? Max Highway ar?)

Anyways... after dinner, Hann & I decide to go play snooker. I take him to my usual hangout in Leisure Commerce Square. I have been trash talking Hann the whole night about the guaranteed ass whopping I am gonna hand him later. So at about 10pm, we make our way to the snooker centre. I must admit... I was wrong. He was potting balls as if the holes are as big as the grand canyon. Easy peasy. I kena whopped in the 1st frame. But as the night progresses... Hann's consistency drops and I start getting better. I think we play a total of 8 frames between us. Hann won the 1st and I won....... THE REST. Hehehe. Ass whopped. Mission accomplished. My friend Terence is hanging around and I ask him to join us for a few games. The 3 of us actually play snooker till 4 in the morning. At this time... our kakis lembik already and we knew it was time to call it a night.

So... After a night of playing snooker till 4am, Danny calls me the next day at 11 ish. He ajak me to go for lunch with him & Rose. I mumble and tell him I am lazy and that I had a really late night. He offers to pick my ass up. Not needing to drive... drives me to wake up. I agree and he tells me he'll be at my place in 30 mins. I drag my ass out of bed and take a shower.

We drive to somewhere in Chan Sow Lin for steamed fish. We have a pretty heavy lunch. 2 fish heads, Young Tau Foo, and some veggies. Lunch was not too expensive. All in for around 70 bucks. The fish was pretty good. Only things was that there are shit loads of small bones.

After we finish makan, we were trying to think of a place to hangout in KL. We actually reached an agreement to go to KLCC. None of us have ever been in PetroSains and we thought it would be a nice change. So we make our way to KLCC. I drop by at Kinokuniya to buy a book on Nostradamus. I'm currently obsessed with the 21st Dec 2012 topic. After browsing through a few books, I end up buying 'Nostradamus For Dummies'. 60 bucks for the book but if it keeps me at home, it would be money well spent.

Here are come pics from the Hann outing...

Simple stim asam fish. The chunkier pieces are pieces of pork lard. Hehe... Good fer ya taste buds... Bad fer ya health.

'Yatt Chi Kwat'... really one bone only. Har har har...

Nice seafood hot plate. Big chunks of sotong & prawns.

The mantis prawn in salted egg might not look nice, but trusting the me... good stuff wei.
And the Danny outing the very next day.
The atap roof setup. The more dodgy the setup, the more Malaysians love it.

Garlic fried Kai Lann.

Asam fish head. Not too bad lar.

Black bean sauce fish head. This one I liked more.

Some Yong Tau Foo as we didn't know what else to order.
