Years ago, when I was still working for my dad, Abu, Ah Chuan, a guy named Teoh, and I used to drink 2 cases of beer a night. We would start at about 9pm and drink and chat all the way till 3 plus in the morning. We would only leave once we have drunk 2 cases of beer. We would do this at least twice a week. Everyone would be slurring by the time we've finished our beer. No matter how drunk I was, I would get up at 7am, go to the warehouse and open all the gates and doors as that was my duty. I would check all the stocks issued and go for brunch.
I actually wonder how I was able to do all that. Nowadays, If I drank that much, I would feel shity the next day. I would sleep till afternoon and then roll around in bed till I can't sleep anymore. I would even be lazy to get my ass out of the house. I'd just walk downstairs, cook Maggi Mee and drag my ass back up to my room. I'll jus sit and watch TV.... feeling shit and drained. Only by night would I be back to my usual self. And I'll vow never to drink again... only to drink again the next night.
What can I say... We all love drinking. Rarely do we not have fun when we are drinking (the only time we don't have fun is when we have drunk too little). We drink, we get drunk, we tell jokes, we laugh, we dance (this would be a sure thing for Debra). Drinking is an expensive hobby but we will always squeeze out some spare dough to go mabuk.
Vince says that he's gonna cut down on drinking this year. I think we all want to. It'll be better for our liver and our wallet. But I'm pretty sure we won't deny ourselves the fun that we have when we are all together with beer in hand and a smile on our face. Happy new year my fellow drunkards...
