Jules asked me if I was interested to go to Genting for the Rave party on Saturday. As I was looking forward to hanging out with my homies, I duly agreed. Waited for Jules, his colleague Suet and Ee Shoon to arrive. We were all meeting up at my house as I was gonna be the one who is driving up to Genting. Debs was suppose to come to my house as well but she said "Pick me up lar... Its on the way". Well Debs... Not really. But you're the queen mar. Pick mar pick lor.
After picking Debs up, we made our way to Genting. As we were not really hungry, we decided to makan in Gotong Jaya. I took them to the restaurant me and my dad usually eat at. Quite sometime back, my dad and I were going to Genting every weekend. That was when we were on a winning streak. But since our luck eluded us, we have stopped going up to Genting. During dinner, we had some beer as the Rave party does not serve liquor. Jules and Ee Shoon also brought some Vodka and mixers. We took the tumbler down with us to the restaurant and loaded it up with ice. After dinner, we drove up to Genting in search of a parking spot.
After we parked the car, we stood in front of the car to chat and finish up the drink. We basically drank a bottle of vodka between 4 of us. Suet doesn't drink so she just stood around and layan us. We drank and chatted. Tissa (who got us VIP passes) was wondering where we were. He called Ee Shoon when we first got a parking spot and she told him we just parked. An hour later, he calls her again and asked her where we were. She told him we were still at the car park. Hehehe... What to do, we need to finish our drink mar. If not how to layan the music. So basically we were drinking the Vodka from the tumbler and passing it around like a peace pipe. The drink worked as we were feeling pretty good.
We made our way to the open air rave party. I went to a similiar Speedzone event last year but that was indoor. This outdoor event is much better. With a strong breeze and cool temperature, it was actually really nice. We walked around a bit and just layan'ed the music. We also went to the booth which we were allowed in, thanks to Tissa's passes and got our free drinks. After chilling for a while, I got a bit gatal and went to the casino. It's like I know what the end result is gonna be. But Chinese me tells myself I have to go. Jules chips in 50 bucks hoping that I'll win some $$$ back. Well... we all know the end result... I lost. So I will officially be having Maggi Mee for lunch for the remainder of the month.
By 4am, we were ready to leave. Jules told us that Hwe and his friends rented an apartment in Ria and that Hwe has been calling us for the past dunno how many hours, asking us to drop by. So we drop by at Ria to chills with him for a while. When we get there, his friends were gambling. So Chinese me joins them. We played Texas Hold'Em. But it was pretty much a friendly game lar. So no big gambling going on there. I played and won a bit. By the time we wanted to go back to PJ, it was already 6 plus.
We had to drop Debs back home first. On the way to her place, I stop at the Dim Sum shop and buy some Har Kau and Siew Mai. 3 plates of each. That set me back 18 bucks. After dropping Debs back, the sun was already up. I sped home and had some of the Dim Sum. After my bath, it was 7.40am. Tired gila. Old man liau... can't take all this crazy late nights. Overall, had a blast. If only I won some money instead of donating it to Uncle Lim.
