How long has it been since the Dons drank as if there is no tomorrow? Too long I must say. It was a night with no expectations. Su Lee was back from SG and she and Debs were chilling at Sid's in TTDI. Debs called me at about 6 ish asking me to drop by. I was having dinner with me parents & sister in 1U. So I told her I'll come over at 8 plus. After dinner, I went home, changed, switched my laptop on, and went to http://www.magnum4d.com.my/ to see if I could possibly make millions without work. Sadly.. the answer is no. I have not been working for 11 months now and spending money on buying numbers should be the last thing I should do. But this is the one Chinese side of me that I still can't get rid of. Anyways... not kena-ing number is proof that I shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
So I get to Sid's at about 8.30pm. Su Lee and Debra are there with a guy. Initially, I though he was their kenalan. So okay lar.. I frenly frenly to him also lar. Mana tahu.. he's actually a stranger whom they just met in Sid's. When he went back to his fren's table and the gals told me he's actually a stranger, I was like... "What the Fuck wei". Anyways... later in the night, I actually saw him outside the toilet. He nodded to me and I ignored him. Not that I purplely ignore him lar. But I was looking kinda to the side and I saw him nod. But not like I'm gonna bother calling him and talk to him right. Fucking stranger wei. The Dons start arriving one by one. Vince arrived first, followed by Tissa and Ee Shoon. Jules was the last to arrive. There were 2 other guys.. I think Debra's prens lar. I was telling them jokes. But to be honest... I don't remember their names. So it was pretty much the standard stuffs lar. Everyone downing Guinness and me telling jokes. Vincent was like my P.A. that night... helping me remember jokes which I have forgotten about. We make a good team brother.
By midnight (I think), Su Lee was bising-ing about having Fatman Steamboat. With the extra 50 bucks from the change we got from Sid's, we marched to Fatman and started ordering. We were eating there and also tah pau-ing for the Gashaus session later. BBQ Pork Belly and Bacon was the order of the day. The bill came out to be 60 plus. So I paid the guy and we made our pretty sober asses over to Gashaus.
I was on pretty good form that day. I think I must have had like 6 pints of Guinness at Sid's. Gashaus told us they have limited edition bottles of Glenfiddich. 350ml bottles for 125 bucks each. So basically if we order 2, we'll get 700ml (50 less than the usual Whisky bottles) for 250 bucks. Considering it's single malt, that's not a bad price. We don't really care if it's limited edition bottles. All we want is the content. By the way... no one brought the empty bottles home anyways.
2 bottles became 4 later in the night/ early in the morning. We were breakdancing and doing moonwalks. We were also doing some bar tricks. The one where you put a dollar note in between 2 bottles and try to pull it out without dropping the bottle that's on top. Drunk asses are drunk asses. Everything seemed so amusing then. With every successful attempt, everyone would give out a loud cheer. But I guess that's what alcohol does to you. We are like children once again, easily amused. Damn I love that feeling. We eventually leave Gashaus at 5 plus in the morning. The bill came. 500 for the whisky and 22 bucks for ciggies. With a 10% service charge and 5% goverment tax, we had to fork out an additional 80 bucks. I told Su Lee... (in a very Chinese accent) 500 hundred for whisky... 20 bucks for ciggy... and 80 bucks service charge. Su Lee was like.. "What? 80 bucks service charge ar? WHAT SERVICE?" Har har... Although they did not do much for us, the staff did stay back till 5 plus in the morning and wait for us to drag our drunk asses out of Gashaus. So... give lar. Need to give one... Hehehe....
This is the 1st time I have had a hardcore drinking session with the Dons in a long time. Tissa suggested we do this maybe once a month or once every 3 weeks. If it's always gonna be this fun (which we know it definitely will be), count my ass in.
The Ah Lian side of Debs comes out.
